Luke Hornsby is a Senior Consultant within the Wealth & Asset Management Risk & Regulatory Advisory practice at EY. In January 2023 he was appointed as the new Chair of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment Young Professionals’ Network (YPN) committee having sat on the committee since 2020.

Luke previously worked in recruitment before moving to a Compliance role within a Wealth Management firm. He has worked in financial services since 2018 and joined EY’s Business Consulting practice in 2022 as a Senior Consultant, where his responsibilities see him working with EY’s Wealth and Asset Management clients on a range of Regulatory and Non-Financial Risk topics. Luke supports clients in understanding their regulatory obligations within the UK, identifying, and understanding their business and conduct risks, and implementing change to meet ever-evolving regulatory requirements. He has a focus on supporting wealth management clients in providing good outcomes to their clients and delivering their services in the best interest of retail consumers.

Gladys Garcia is a Business Associate for Ruffer Llp, a discretionary asset manager providing investment management services to individuals and families since 1994. Gladys has been on the Young Professional Network committee since its inception, organising and hosting events and providing written material to its members.

Gladys’ career began over two decades ago at one of the UK’s major retail banks, progressing into stockbroking and then business development within private banking and the pensions arena. She then transitioned into wealth management where she works closely with a team of fund managers in the management of client portfolios both onshore, offshore and in Europe. Within Ruffer, she is also a key stakeholder for various projects particularly when it comes to implementing enhancements and changes to the overall client experience.

One of her passions centres around leadership and personal development, partnering with a private mentorship group whose mission is to ‘create a culture that develops leaders to impact as many lives as possible in a positive way, making the world a better place and to leave a legacy’.

Stephen is a Manager within Schroders Family Office Services, where he leverages his investment insight and experience to advise families on how to manage, grow and protect their wealth across multiple generations.

He joined Schroders in 2020 following the acquisition of Sandaire, where he had worked since 2018 advising large complex families and ultra-high net worth individuals. Prior to Sandaire, Stephen worked at one of the world’s largest single family offices for nearly a decade where he was responsible for the management of over $2 billion of invested capital in equity markets and other direct investments.

Stephen is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI), has been on the CISI’s Young Professional Network Committee since 2020, holds a master’s degree from Durham University and completed his undergraduate studies at De Montfort University in Leicester.

Ross Jefferies is a Financial Planner within his family business; Panoramic Wealth and looks after the younger generation of clients whether that be helping them get a foot on the property ladder or starting their investment journey.

Sitting on the Young Professional Network committee since its’ inception, he has been heavily involved in events whether that be the organisation or in chairing panel debates. Following on from chair at a YPN event, he was invited to sit on the panel in the 2022 Integrity Debate with over 1000 either in the room or watching online around the world.

I currently work as an Operational Risk Specialist for Quilter Financial Planning after joining in May 2022. I started my career 5 years ago, working in Compliance for a pensions company and moving into risk around 2019.

Prior to joining the Financial Services industry, I did a variety of jobs including working as a shop assistant for a football team, supervising an inflatable obstacle course race and quality assuring compliance training for banks. I became a member of the YPN Committee in 2021 after joining as a member in lockdown and thoroughly enjoying the events. I thought being a Committee member would be a great way to use my skills and support Young Professionals in building their professional networks and honing their technical skills. Recently I’ve particularly enjoyed chairing the Black Swan Events evening which was my first time chairing an in-person panel.

Andrew is a Anti-Financial Crime Modelling Manager working for the digital bank N26. He has been part of the CISI Young Professional's network since 2020.

Andrew has been in the Financial Services industry for 10 years and predominantly has worked on Change and Transformation Projects within Compliance and Anti Financial Crime. His previous experience was at Deutsche Bank, Morgan Stanley and Barclays and has worked in the UK, Germany and the US in a wide range of roles. Through his range of experience, Andrew hopes to support CISI's young professionals as they start their careers

Teodoro is originally from Peru, grew up and completed his degree in Civil Engineering in Madrid and then moved to London in 2016, where he decided to start his career in Financial Services.

He has worked in financial services since 2018 and joined MUFG Bank in 2022 as Associate, where he supports Relationship Managers onboarding clients, mainly Financial Institutions, on different products as FX, Derivatives, MM or Loans; and other operational tasks.

He is just one exam away from completing the CISI Level 4 IAD, and is looking to become a Relationship Manager in the near future.

Eliana Sarah Balasubramaniam is a member of FTI’s Financial Crime Compliance practice based in London. At FTI, Eliana assist clients in addressing financial crime regulatory and operational issues through strategic advisory and organizational transformation efforts. Eliana has working extensively with firms across the EMEA region covering a range of industries from traditional financial institutions to designated non-financial businesses and professions (including gambling operators). Prior to joining FTI, Eliana interned as an investment research analyst at PartnerRe Holdings Europe Ltd. Eliana has a Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from King’s College London. Eliana was presented the CISI Global Financial Compliance Award for 2022 at the CISI Awards Ceremony 2023 Mansion House London.
